"Rainmaker" returns to Grant Thornton
Joe Dyke has returned to Grant Thornton as an associate director after almost five years at Royal Bank of Scotland.
Dyke was a director in the corporate banking team at the bank and also spent time in its business restructuring group. As an associate director in Grant Thornton's advisory team in Birmingham, he will advise clients across the Midlands on mergers and acquisition, fundraising and financial restructuring.
Geoff Davies, head of advisory, said: "I am delighted to welcome Joe back to Grant Thornton. He has justifiably earned a reputation in the market as a ‘rainmaker’ and for providing quality advice to his clients.
"We are experiencing a significant increase in activity across all areas of our advisory business and there will be a continuing need to invest in high quality people to grow our business."
Dyke added: "It is fantastic to return to Grant Thornton, where there are a number of familiar faces from the past as well as some strong new additions, and it is most impressive to witness the growth across the firm’s advisory business.
"Five very enjoyable years at RBS have given me additional experiences, networks and skills to leverage for the benefit of Grant Thornton and our clients. I look forward to complementing an already strong team."
