Bank deal supports Colter Steels expansion
Willenhall-based Colter Steels has expanded its workforce after securing the backing of NatWest to purchase a new headquarters.
The company had outgrown its 7,000 sq ft premises after boosting overseas sales and agreed a deal with NatWest to buy a new 14,000 sq ft base on Ashmore Business Park.
"We had reached a point where we were literally bursting at the seams, with no room to grow the business as we wanted to," said commercial director Steve Smallman.
"Buying our own property was always an important part of our longer-term plans and now gives us the scope to develop new products and provide a better service to our existing customers, and potentially increase our share of the UK market as well as increasing exports."
Smallman added that the group will add another three staff to its 11-strong workforce in the next year, which he said will make a "huge difference".
