Barclays package to drive growth at Total Motion

A fleet management business in Leicester has secured a multimillion-pound funding facility to expand.

Barclays provided Total Motion with an asset line and working capital facility to support its plans to broaden its customer base.

The family-run business was formed in 1999 and employs 31 staff. It works with more than 200 clients in the UK and overseas and has sales of £16m per year.

Director Simon Hill, who owns the business with wife Caroline, said: "This new funding facility will enable us to realise the next stage in our strategic growth plan."

Richard Parker, relationship director at Barclays in Leicester, added: "Simon and Caroline have a clear focus about the direction in which they want to take the business. They have achieved great success in recent years and I look forward to working with them in the New Year as they start to implement the new expansion plans."

The company currently operates from a 1,500 sq ft site in Leicester city centre and has plans to relocate to a larger base in the new year.
