Capita appointed on iCentrum build
Capita's Redditch office has been appointed to provide mechanical and electrical engineering services on the new £7.5m iCentrum building at the Innovation Birmingham Campus.
The project, which has received planning approval from Birmingham City Council, comprises a 41,700 sq ft technology business incubation facility that will create 400 jobs.
The building will also be the first to start on site within the Greater Birmingham & Solihull LEP's Enterprise Zone which incorporates 26 sites within central Birmingham.
The top floor of iCentrum will feature a range of self-contained, flexible office suites and networking areas for entrepreneurial tech companies. The first floor will be home to Innovation Birmingham's Serendip incubator.
A total of three to five new buildings are proposed at the Innovation Birmingham Campus, bringing 120,000 sq ft of space.
The iCentrum project is due for completion in early in 2016.
