Infinis secures £52m for Scottish wind farm

Northampton-headquartered energy company Infinis has secured a £52m facility to fund a wind farm project in Scotland.

Infinis Energy will use the funding, arranged with the Royal Bank of Scotland and National Australia Bank, to construct and operate the A'Chruach Wind Farm in Argyle and Bute.

The project will have a capacity of 43MW and is expected to be operational by 31 March 2016.

Chief executive Eric Machiels said: "This is a key milestone as we continue to deliver on our growth aspirations that we committed to at the time of the IPO and will increase the scale of our operating wind portfolio."

Infinis floated on AIM in November 2013 with a market capitalisation of £780m.
