Investor takes majority stake in Kontroltek
Industrial automotive repair company Kontroltek is set to expand internationally after welcoming a new majority shareholder to its board.
Kontroltek revealed that Tony Jones, the former majority stakeholder of The Lektronix Group, had purchased a "substantial shareholding" in the business.
Jones will provide advice to Kontroltek in a bid to bolster the business, including tips on recruiting suitable staff overseas.
The company said the support will be "crucial" to managing director Andrew Follant.
He said: "His guidance and expertise, as we look to expand globally, will be a valuable asset to Kontroltek, and we're very excited to see what the future will bring with Tony helping to pave the way for our first international expansion."
Jones added: "My role is to help Andrew move the business into the international arena and accelerate growth even further."
The company is headquartered in Bridgend in Wales and also has a Midlands base in Walsall, which looks after the region, the north and Scotland.
