Morgan Sindall MD departs
The managing director of Morgan Sindall has departed the business less than a week after the company warned its full-year results will be below expectations.
Graham Shennan had been with the business since 2002. He was the former managing director of Morgan Ashurst.
A spokesman for Morgan Sindall said: "We've taken a detailed look at how we run the construction and infrastructure division in order to create a more efficient company for growth.
"We have taken the decision to create a flatter structure, with Pat Boyle and Nick Fletcher reporting directly into John Morgan, group chief executive.
Boyle is managing director of Morgan Sindall's construction and design businesses while Fletcher is managing director of civil engineering.
The spokesman added: "Pat and Nick are working closely together to deliver complex, integrated projects for our clients which draw on our construction and infrastructure expertise.
"As a result of these changes, the role of managing director of Morgan Sindall plc has been made redundant and Graham Shennan has left the business."
In a trading update issued last week, Morgan Sindall said its full-year results would be below previous expectations following problems with construction contracts in London and the south.
The group has a headquarters in Rugby for its construction and infrastructure arm.
