RBS serves up funding to Don Paella
An outdoor catering company is set to expand after securing a loan from new banking partner the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Nottingham-based Don Paella Ltd was set up by entrepreneur and trained chef Matthew Longfoot to provide catering services to outdoor events.
RBS provided the business with a loan to purchase a van and refrigerated trailer, allowing Longfoot to explore opportunities across the UK and cater for larger parties.
He said: "This is proving to be a very popular choice of menu for large gatherings and demands from around the country require me to travel greater distances so I need to keep the food chilled.
"RBS has been very supportive and receptive of my plans and I am grateful I have a bank on board that understands my business model and what I am looking to achieve."
Samantha Brittain, relationship manager at RBS, added: "Matthew had a clear vision in mind of what was going to help his business long-term and providing funds to help him achieve this is always rewarding.
"He is an ambitious entrepreneur and I wish him all the very best as he confidently takes on more clients across the country."
