Retail Assist welcomes new chief finance officer
Nottingham-based IT services group Retail Assist has appointed a new chief finance officer.
Matthew Proudlove joins from the Real Yorkshire Pudding Company where he was CFO since 2012.
He spent 13 years of his career after qualifying as a chartered accountant in corporate finance involved in acquisitions, sales and management buyouts.
Proudlove said: "I see massive growth potential for Retail Assist and can't wait to get started and make steps towards supporting the expansion of the company."
Retail Assist provides retailers with end-to-end business applications and services support to reduce costs and optimise operations. Clients include Harvey Nichols, Cath Kidston, Morrisons, Selfridges, Paperchase, Whistles, Oasis and Warehouse.
Executive chairman Alan Morris added: "We are delighted that Matthew has joined the team as we continue to build on our growth strategy. Through our previous business relationships with him we knew he was a strong fit for Retail Assist and look forward to working with him."
Current chief finance officer Tim Moxon will leave Retail Assist on 3 October 2014 once he has handed over to Proudlove.
Moxon said: "I will be leaving Retail Assist in order to pursue potential opportunities to work with small-sized businesses on a reduced working hours basis."
