Décor Cladding acquired by Amicus
A Durham-based supplier of decorative wall cladding has been acquired by Amicus Building Products for an undisclosed sum.
Décor Cladding Centre was acquired by Amicus, the parent company of Manchester-based Magden, in a deal described as "excellent" for both companies.
HRC Law LLP acted for Décor Cladding Centre. Mark Traynor, partner at HRC, said: "This is an excellent deal for our clients who look forward to seeing Amicus take the reins of a business they have developed for many years."
Jon Close of TLT Solicitors, who acted for Amicus, added: "We were delighted to advise Amicus on its first bolt-on acquisition (since the MBI of Magden last year) of Décor Cladding Centre through what was a very smooth deal process.
"Décor Cladding Centre's business and management team will complement and enhance the current Amicus offering and ensure that the enlarged group will continue to go from strength to strength."
Corporate finance advice was provided to the buyers by Brian Higgins and Alex Wilson of Rickitt Mitchell with Stephen Clough of EFM providing advice to the sellers. The deal was funded by Shawbrook Business Credit.
