Growth on the cards for Newcastle firm

A Newcastle-based company has signed a five-year deal with shopping centre owner intu to provide gift cards that will be launched in time for Christmas.

Flex-e-card has signed an agreement which will build on intu's existing gift cards, but with new enhancements, which are set to "add to a customer’s perfect shopping centre experience".

The gift cards are being launched in time for Christmas, a period when "half the gift cards sold in the UK retail industry during the year are purchased".

The cards can be loaded with anything from £5 to £1,000.

Intu has shopping centres in Glasgow, Nottingham, Bromley, Norwich, Derby, Newcastle, Thurrock, West Midlands, Gateshead, Milton Keynes, Stoke, Manchester, Uxbridge, Watford, Cardiff and Bristol.
