HAKKA Fashion targets £100,000 turnover
Two Newcastle sisters are targeting £100,000 turnover during the first year of their new company HAKKA Fashion ahead of targeting foreign markets.
Carmen and Katie Ho, who started the online boutique, have reported a traffic rise in their website of 30-50 per cent each week since launching in July 2014.
The sisters stock 18 different brands of clothing and are aiming to start designing their own collection under the HAKKA brand.
The company has also received interest from labels worn by Miley Cyrus and Lady GaGa looking to secure listings on the site.
Carmen said the pair realised they could turn their clothing passion into a business having spent a lot of time selling their clothes on eBay.
"We are also working towards marketing the brand towards East and South East Asia over the next 12 months and share the best in quirky Asian street fashion online, both locally and internationally," added Carmen.
"Asian street fashion is quickly becoming the next big thing. We should all embrace fashion influences from other cultures or countries, put a little twist on it and give women the confidence to wear their look in a more stylish way.
"If we can wear it and look good, then so can anyone."
