IoD appoints North East regional director

A new regional director has been appointed to the North East branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD).

Natalie Sykes is also the regional director in Yorkshire and the Humber, a role she was appointed to in May, and has business interests across property, supercars, health and wellbeing.

Sykes was previously chairman of the IoD's Young Directors for Yorkshire and the Humber and is a "strong advocate of professional development and lifelong learning".

Sykes said that through her role she wants to encourage professionals, both "young and not so young", to "take advantage of the IoD's benefits, director development and excellent events".

"Together we can help each other and drive regional prosperity."

The IoD's North East chairman Graham Robb will work closely with Sykes. He said: "Natalie has shown in Yorkshire and the Humber that she is passionate about strengthening our position as a business organisation that can help directors grow their business and share best practice."
