Leathers returns to original Durham base
An accountancy firm has returned to the same Durham office in which it was established almost 25 years ago following a flood at its premises in the city.
Leathers, founded in 1990, moved into 19 1/2 Old Elvet in Durham in 1991 as a small business run by founder Michael Leather.
It later relocated to Newcastle but recently opened an office at 26A Old Elvet in Durham to cope with an increased workload. However, a flood has meant it has now relocated back to its first-ever office until the new year.
Managing partner Michael Leather said: "We should be back in our more permanent home by the new year. But what a lovely coincidence that our very first office should play a role once again in the growth and development of Leathers."
