Restaurant company serves up expansion
A restaurant company in the North East has expanded after taking over the food operations at a town hall which has undergone a £1m refurbishment.
Bill Oldfield, managing director of his namesake restaurant in Durham, has won two contracts with his recently launched Oldfields Events.
The company will cater for Peterlee's Shotton Hall and will run the food operations and events at the Seaham Town Hall.
The property underwent a £1m refurbishment at the start of 2014 and Oldfield Events is now planning to boost business at the town hall by promoting it for weddings, conferences and events.
Having picked up the contracts, the company is now planning to grow its catering arm and is actively look to run food operations at events of all sizes.
