Ryecroft Glenton makes managerial promotions
North East accountancy firm Ryecroft Glenton has promoted two executives to managerial roles.
Having worked as a corporate finance senior, Abu Ali is now corporate finance manager and works within Ryecroft's corporate finance service line. Ali has worked on a number of high-profile transactions, acquisitions and disposals as part of the team headed by Carl Swansbury.
Andrew Wordsworth joined the firm in 2008 as a chartered accountant and has been promoted to VAT manager. He has specialised in VAT since joining the firm, including advising clients on methods to mitigate VAT costs and dealing with HMRC on clients' behalf.
Chris Robson, managing partner of Ryecroft Glenton said: "They have both worked with us well for some years and have actively contributed to the development of our firm. They are a testimony to the firm's commitment to developing and nurturing talent from within, and the promotions reinforce the active approach clients can expect from Ryecroft Glenton."
Swansbury added: "Abu's experience, commitment and positive attitude have proved to be invaluable assets for our team. This has been a busy, successful year, and Abu's contribution has been extremely helpful."
Ali said he was "delighted", while Wordsworth said it was "great news".
Ryecroft Glenton is a 100-strong firm with 15 partners and offices in Newcastle, Morpeth, Rothbury and Whitley Bay.
