Southdale set for North East expansion
Construction and development company Southdale is aiming to expand its presence in the North East after moving into a larger premises, which will allow it to take on more staff.
The company, which is on target for a regional turnover of £30m, has agreed a lease on 2,500 sq ft of offices on the Aycliffe Business Park, County Durham, which will allow it to grow from its current 30 employees to 50.
The Halifax-headquartered company first moved into the North East in 2010 and has worked on projects for a range of registered landlords across the region, largely across County Durham and the Tees Valley.
Craig Knowles, operations director for the North East, said the company has plans for "sustainable growth" in the region, including a significant increase in staffing and a broadening of the geographical area in which it operates.
"These new offices will allow us to grow and give us a base which is very easily accessible for all parts of the region, and we are looking forward to being at the heart of a vibrant business park," added Knowles.
