The Range creates 100 Sunderland jobs

The Range is set to open a store in Sunderland this week (21 November 2014), creating 100 jobs.

More than 65,000 products will line the shelves of the store, which will be opened by mayor of Sunderland councillor Stuart Porthouse alongside Chris Dawson, the owner and founder of The Range.

The 100 jobs will be a range of positions from sales assistants and store managers.

"Our continued success is hugely due to the fantastic teams that we employ and we are confident that the new Sunderland employees will add to our success," said Dawson, adding that he believes Sunderland was the "perfect location" for the store.

Dawson also said he hopes the shop would become an "integral part of the community".

The Range reported revenue soaring by almost £90m recently thanks to a spate of new store opening across the UK.
