Watson Lily to grow with Hartlepool office move
A Teesside-based recruitment company has tripled its office space as part of a "substantial" growth plan over the next 12 months.
Watson Lily specialises in finding and recruiting executives for the oil and gas, renewable energy and chemical sector, with its client portfolio including "a number of major players".
The company has moved its head office base to the Innovation Centre run by UK Steel Enterprise on the Queens Meadow Business Park in Hartlepool.
Director Clare Fenwick said: "Watson Lily has been operating for less than a year and I’m very pleased with progress so far. The strategy has been to re-invest heavily into the business to get the foundations right for growth. At the Innovation Centre we now have the office space and facilities, including one of the fastest broadband speeds in the region that we need."
Peter Taylor, area manager at UK Steel Enterprise, added: "Both our Teesside Centres are designed specifically to provide all the facilities and support that a young business with ambitious plans to grow will need."
Fenwick said she "saw a gap in the market" when setting up the company.
"We are the only executive search company that specialises in the sectors we serve. We are working with clients who already operate world-wide as well as those looking to expand overseas and needing specialist support," she said.
"It’s a challenge for companies to find the best people at a senior level in a fast-changing industry, so there is fierce competition. Top-performing candidates don’t tend to be actively searching for a new job.
"However, my experience has taught me that people are always open to listening."
