Facility drives growth for coach group
A coach operator in Stockport is set to create ten jobs after receiving financial support to expand its fleet.
Belle Vue has invested in five new Mercedes Benz Tourismo coaches after securing a hire purchase facility with Lombard, the asset finance arm of NatWest, worth £838,000.
It also received cash from the Regional Growth Fund which provided 10 per cent towards the cost of the coaches.
The additional vehicles have extended its fleet to 65 coaches.
Increasing the fleet has provided it with the capacity to service more contracts as part of its plans to double turnover from £3m in the next two years. Ten jobs will be created and a further ten roles will be safeguarded.
Phil Hitchen, managing director at family-run Belle Vue, said: "It's imperative that we keep up with modern technology to keep our customers happy and boost staff morale. It's a considerable investment but we're looking to the future and longer-term we’ll make significant savings."
Thomas Brown, senior relationship manager at Lombard, added: "Belle Vue is a first class bus and coach operator and customer service and a great customer experience are at the heart of its ethos.
"I am pleased that we have been able to support Belle Vue with its fleet expansion and provide support from the Regional Growth Fund, which has enabled the company to really kick on with its growth strategy."
Founded in 1996, Belle Vue provides services to schools, holidaymakers, corporate and social groups and currently employs 76 staff.
