Firm scores relocation with bank loan
A solicitors' firm in Liverpool city centre which represents Premier League football clubs, players and agents, is to relocate to new premises after receiving a funding deal.
Middleton Solicitors is to combine its two branches in the city and move to a larger base on Stanley Street.
It has secured a £399,000 loan from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking to purchase the new premises and refurbish it ahead of the move early next year. The firm employs 35 members of staff.
Founder Alan Middleton said: "We've always been a very ambitious business and have grown substantially since we first launched in 2004. It became clear that in order to keep the momentum up and ensure that we had the resource and capacity to develop even further, we would need to move to larger premises.
"The Stanley Street site is perfect for us as we have had the chance to refurbish it so that everything is to our taste. Not only that, it also affords us a much greater opportunity to grow and we now have more capacity to take on additional staff and expand our specialist sports law division."
Trevor Percival, relationship director at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, added: "Relocating to larger premises is often a great move for businesses looking to expand. Not only can it help enhance capacity and room for growth, but it is also a good way to reinvigorate a business’ workforce, by giving employees a bigger, better, more efficient working environment.
"We are committed to supporting firms, like Middleton Solicitors, achieve their aims and ambitions."
