Management team buys SureCare

Chester care group SureCare has been acquired by its managing director.

Gary Farrer, who has held his current role for two years, has purchased the franchise company from Housing & Care 21.

He previously built Lancashire-based Safehands Group into a £5.5m business with his wife Stephanie before selling in November 2011.

Stephanie Farrer joins SureCare as a consultant with responsibility for rolling out the company's micro franchise division, SureCare Local, across the UK.

Gary Farrer said: "I am looking forward to building the SureCare brand. We have put in place a strong, passionate management team and created a comprehensive range of services totally relevant to the needs of people of all ages today.

"The care sector has changed dramatically over recent years and will continue to do so. Companies like SureCare have a responsibility to continually adapt and evolve to ensure we are providing the right services for today’s society."

Bruce Moore, chief executive of Housing & Care 21, added: "Gary Farrer and his experienced team at SureCare are perfectly placed to take SureCare forward and meet the diverse and changing requirements of its clients."
