Play centre group grows after loan

A children's play centre provider has launched its second site in Greater Manchester after securing a £100,000 loan.

Bouncers Play Centre, which established its first site in Diggle a decade ago, has set up in Droylsden Shopping Centre for its second location.

The company agreed a £100,000 term loan with Yorkshire Bank to enable the fit-out and purchase of equipment for the Droylsden operation.

Director Paul Andrew-Willis, who runs the business with his oldest daughter Katie, said: "I was inspired to open this new centre in Droylsden because there was nothing in the area for kids at all.

"It has been very well received already and we have plans in place to expand into a youth club offering for 11 to 14-year-olds on a membership basis.

"I'd love to open another centre. Katie and I are working hard to establish this one at the moment and to make sure it's financially viable but after that we will certainly be looking to other sites in the area."

Simon King, business development manager at Yorkshire Bank in Manchester, added: "Paul is an excellent operator and understands the sector really well. The centres are well known in the surrounding areas and frequently visited by a number of parents in the bank."
