Restaurant takes a slice of funding deal

An Italian restaurant in Warrington has clinched funding to support its move to new premises.

Caffe Caruso, which is family-run, is to move next to Contact Warrington on Horsemarket Street with the support of funding for a commercial mortgage from NatWest.

Its current site in Time Square is within the area of Warrington Borough Council's £52m Bridge Street regeneration.

It has been open for more than 20 years and employs seven staff. New jobs are expected to be created in the future.

Joint owner Mirko Shutisaid: "The new premises will generate more business as the new location is more central and within walking distance from key places in the town. The new restaurant is also much bigger than the one we are currently in, and will create a nice environment for our customers."

Faisal Rashid, relationship manager at the bank, added: "I was delighted to support Caffe Caruso with its move to new premises. It's a great restaurant that people from throughout the area enjoy dining there. I wish the business every success for the future."
