Elliots expands with Hardleys acquisition
One of Hampshire's largest independent builders' merchants has snapped up kitchen and bathroom showroom Hardleys.
Elliots, which has been trading for 160 years, said the decision to acquire Lymington-based Hardleys is part of its pledge to provide its customers across Hampshire, Dorset and Surrey with a wider range of high quality kitchen and bathroom products.
Managing director Tom Elliott said: "We have always had such respect for Hardleys as a fellow family business that prides itself on excellence and puts customers first.
"There are so many synergies between the two companies and we are delighted to bring it under our umbrella. Its expert staff and unrivalled product range, including many items not available elsewhere, will give our customers in the New Forest even more choice."
The showroom, based at Ampress Park in Ricardo Way, will continue to trade under the Hardleys name for the time being.
Elliots' head office is in Southampton. As well as its kitchen and bathroom showrooms in Ringwood, Romsey and Lymington, the company has builders' merchant branches in Bishop's Waltham, Chandler's Ford, Fareham, Fordingbridge, Ringwood, Romsey, Southampton, Tadley and Totton.
