Hampshire jobs saved after rescue deal

Jobs have been saved after two Hampshire businesses specialising in mobile phone services were bought out of administration.

BDO business restructuring partner and director Martha Thompson and David Smithson secured the sale of Telsis Ltd and Telsis Holdings Ltd on 10 October 2014, preserving 60 jobs and enabling the businesses to continue trading.

The businesses were headquartered in Fareham, near Portsmouth, and specialised in communications technology and services for mobile phones.

The companies entered administration on 10 October 2014 and immediately following appointment the joint administrators secured the sales to Telsis Communications Services Ltd, a third party entity.

All of the employees of both companies have been transferred to the purchaser.

David Smithson said: "I am delighted that 60 jobs have been saved with the transfer of staff, as the businesses can now move forward on a more secure financial footing."
