Vario Press swoops for regional rival
Berkshire printing company Vario Press has snapped up regional rival Maygray Graphics in a deal managed by M&A advisor BCMS.
Maygray Graphics, which provides digital and litho print and design services to a range of blue chip clients, is based in Uxbridge. The company was founded in 1986.
Vario Press, based in Slough, operates a "progressive print operation" with litho, digital and large format print production capacity. The company also offers digital marketing services.
BCMS deal leader John Humphrey, who managed the transaction, said: "Print production is a consolidating sector, with fierce competition amongst the key players to gain and secure market share.
"The drive to acquire in this space therefore is constant and accordingly we received significant interest in the acquisition of Maygray Graphics Ltd."
BCMS acted as lead sale advisor to the vendors, managing the transaction.
BCMS said it identified 184 organisations that could potentially acquire Maygray Graphics and engaged in early stage discussions with 33 companies that expressed an interest in the acquisition, including national print groups and office equipment suppliers.
