Good Energy receives £6.8m for Norfolk site

Good Energy is set to sell its Norfolk solar site for £6.8m, the top end of the expected value of the deal first announced in August.

The Chippenham-based renewable electricity business revealed it would sell the 49.9MW solar site at West Raynham, near Fakenham, to a member of the Trina Solar Group during the summer.

It previously estimated the total sale value, which will be received in cash, to be between £3.4m and £6.8m.

Post-sale conditions have now been met and the business expects profit generated from the deal to reach the top end of the range between £1.4m and £3.8m as quoted in August.

The proceeds from the transaction will be used for the on-going development of other Good Energy sites.
