A round-up of appointments from across the South West.
KPMG has bolstered its forensic team in Bristol with the appointment of Akhlaq Ahmed as director. He joins the firm after ten years at EY, where he was responsible for leading the forensic practice in Bristol and Reading. In his new role at KPMG, Ahmed will head up KPMG's team of forensic experts in Bristol and Reading.
KBW Chartered Surveyors has promoted three of its surveyors. Kevin Allen, who joined the firm in 2008, has been promoted to associate director. Bob Allen, who works in commercial agency and joined KBW in 2010, and Chris Furze, who has worked in professional services at KBW since 2010, both becomes principal surveyors. KBW was started up in Cheltenham in 2007 by Richard Knightley, Nathan Brown and Steven Wood.
Caroline Coxon has been appointed to the board of McBaile Exclusive Catering & Events as business development director three years after joining the family-run business.
Bristol-based Stuff Advertising has added two members to its client service team. Lauren Tregaskes and Clare Szymanski join the ranks to support the agency with its growing client base and the business development activities. Tregaskes joins as an account manager, having previously worked at Bray Leino, and Szymanski moves from JWT.
Nicky Williams has joined Venture Insurance, the independent broker based in Kings Parade Avenue in Clifton, growing the team to 11 staff. She brings more than 25 years of experience in a range of commercial insurance to Venture, following an approach by managing director Simon James earlier in the year.
