Taylor Maxwell Timber swoops for Surrey group

Bristol-headquartered Taylor Maxwell Timber has acquired Camberley-based Pacific Lumber Services (UK).

The £80m-turnover group, which supplies timber to the construction industry, as well as decking and flooring, operates from 19 locations across the UK and the deal will expand its presence in Surrey.

Tony Hammond, managing director of Taylor Maxwell Timber, said: "We have known Geoff Boxall and Brian Houghton for many years and have high regard for the business they have created.

"The addition of Pacific Lumber Services will add further strength and depth to Taylor Maxwell Timber's leading position in the market."

Veale Wasbrough Vizards (VWV) acted for Yatlor Maxwell Timber.

Anthony Young, partner at VWV, said: "It was a pleasure working with Tony Hammond and the rest of his management team on this transaction. VWV is delighted to have been able to assist the Taylor Maxwell group as it expands its business further."
