TLT advises BGL Group
The Bristol branch of law firm TLT has advised financial services giant BGL Group on a £270m refinance.
BGL secured a £190m conduit securitisation facility and an £80m syndicated revolving credit facility with help from TLT banking and restructuring partners Jon Stewart and Simon Coles.
Stewart said: "The deal represents a strategic decision by our long-standing client, BGL, to lock in to competitive interest rates and the relaxation of terms that are available to strong credits in the current market.
"The transaction follows hot on the heels of the RCF that we completed for WHSmith. These deals show that by bringing together expertise from across the firm we can represent high grade corporate credits, delivering results for our clients."
TLT's team also included trainee banking and restructuring solicitor Louis Dewfall and corporate tax solicitor Natalie Stoter.
BGL was formed in 1992 and is headquartered in Peterborough.
