Funding helps Just Perfect feed Doctor Who

A £20,000 Welsh Government grant has helped a Bridgend catering company secure a contract with BBC Cymru Wales' Roath Lock drama studios.

Just Perfect Catering took on 20 staff after securing the SME (small and medium entrprise) Small Capital Investment grant. It will supply food for shows including Doctor Who, Casualty and Wizards v Aliens.

Chief executive Louise Owens said: "We put the grant towards the cost of buying specialist location kitchen equipment.

"We were one of the first companies to receive the grant and it was a boost. Since then we have invested a huge amount in the company, which continues to grow and continues to create more local jobs and support other Welsh companies."

Economy minister Edwina Hart added: "This fund was set up to ensure small and medium-sized enterprises can access the finance they need to grow."
