GTS hires former Grant Thornton man
Ebbw Vale-based GTS Flexible Materials has recruited a former Grant Thornton corporate finance expert as group financial director.
Chris Burgess will take over from retiring financial director Brian O’Leary, who was one of three directors Burgess advised during the MBO of the business, based on the Rassau Industrial Estate.
Managing director Graham Farmer and operations director and Phil Jell now plan to grow the business through further exploitation of GTS’ adhesive design capabilities in its core geographical and industrial markets.
The company is a manufacturer of adhesive systems, electrical laminates and adhesive tapes and employs 60 staff, generating a turnover of £8m.
GTS is "export focused" with about 90 per cent of group turnover generated from key markets of Western Europe, North America and the Far East.
