MMR plans trade park for Dafen
The former premises of an inflatable boat maker in Llanelli have been bought by a local development company with plans to create a trade counter business park.
The semi-derelict 35,121 sq ft building sits in 2.7 acres and has been purchased by MMR Holdings.
It plans to develop the site into a trade counter business park called Dafen Trade Park.
MMR managing director Rob Rees said work had already started on an extensive refurbishment programme to create ten units of between 3,500 and 15,000 sq ft, which would be available to lease from April 2015.
Commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) worked on the sale of Avon Inflatables' former base.
Jason Thorne, LSH director of industrial agency and logistics, added: "This new development really is great news for the area as many local and national companies have chosen Dafen as their strategic base."
