Welsh enterprise zones awarded £3m
More than 60 businesses across Wales' seven enterprise zones have been awarded in excess of £3m this year by the Welsh Government Business Rate scheme.
The capital programme was launched in 2012/13 and has awarded double the amount of finance to businesses this year than in the first two funding rounds.
"This scheme is another Welsh government policy to support businesses and promote economic growth and job creation in Wales," said economy minister Edwina Hart.
"It is very pleasing that this third round has seen more businesses than ever before apply for and be awarded funds, and I am particularly pleased to see a significant rise in interest from businesses in Snowdonia, Deeside, Cardiff and the newly extended Haven Waterway."
Wales' seven enterprise zones include Haven Waterway, which focuses on the energy and environmental sectors, Cardiff, Anglesey, Deeside, Ebbw Vale, Snowdonia and St Athan, the Cardiff Airport enterprise zone.
