Red Bull linked to Leeds United takeover
F1 and energy drinks company Red Bull is reportedly in talks with Leeds United over a possible takeover of the Championship club.
It is understood representatives of the business have already met with owner Massimo Cellino, the Daily Mail said. Red Bull was interested in a buyout 18 months ago before the controversial Italian took the helm.
Cellino has already sacked two managers this season – David Hockaday and Darko Milanic – and last week handed the job to Neil Redfearn on a 12-month rolling contract.
He completed his takeover in April following Football League approval. The organisation initially blocked his deal to buy the club after he was found guilty of failing to pay import duty on a yacht in Italy.
